Join us for another learning adventure! 

AU Tours is a new initiative from the Office of Undergraduate Education to create exciting travel experiences for alumni, employees and friends of the university. Hosted by current and former AU faculty, staff and administration, we invite you to participate in foreign and domestic tours that offer unique excursions, opportunities for cultural immersion and much more.

Discover the wonders of Europe’s best Christmas Markets on this immersive 8-day tour! View the historic sights and buildings of cosmopolitan Prague and take in a world-renowned production of the Nutcracker at the National Theatre. Tour the palaces and museums of Vienna. Enjoy the Sound of Music Tour and an take in an Opera performance in Salzburg and much more.

 

Vienna, Austria

Our Tour begins in Vienna. Home to over a dozen Christmas markets, we'll visit the Belvedere and Schönbrunn Palaces, St. Stephens Cathedral and other guided attractions in the area. Vienna has some of the most charming Christmas markets in Europe. Spread throughout the city, each has it’s own personality, selection of vendors and unique mug.

Salzburg, Austria

The birthplace of Mozart, inspiration for fairy tales, and one of the most beautiful towns in central Europe. We'll spend time taking in the beauty of the Altstadt, visit the Fortress Hohensalzburg, and enjoy the classic Sound of Music tour.

Prague, Czech Republic

Karlův Most, or the Charles Bridge, is an iconic medieval bridge spanning the Vltava river. Lined with nearly 30 statues, the bridge connects to the central Old Town to Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral.
